Shake it off! - By U.C.B

On his way to Rome, Paul was shipwrecked on an island. As he was gathering firewood, a snake attached itself to his arm. Note what he did from Acts 28:5:

"But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects"

The Bible simply says that he "shook it off"! What a picture! You can either dwell on the past or 'shake it off' and move into the future with God. Listen to what he says : "I've got my eye on the goal. I am off and running and I am not turning back". The only place the past can live now is in your mind!

Paul didn't forget the past, he just shook it off and kept going! You will never get to the top of the ladder if you keep trying to pull yesterday's disappointments with you. It was lies that sent Joseph to prison and it was his own brothers who sold him into salavery. Yet when he reached the palace, you don't find a word of revenge or resentment. He had no time for it!

Maybe you're thinking, "I'll be glad when these attacks are over and I can settle down". Drean on! If you do anything significant for God, you'll attract attack like a magnet! You're too valuable to the Kingdom. Satan knows your potential and his greatest fear is that you'll discover who you really are, what you're truly worth, and where you're headed.

Come on child of God, 'shake it off' and get moving for God!
